Greetings, All!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and that you are excited for getting back to campus soon (if you aren’t already here)! I’m working from home today because of a building situation in EEP, but should be back in the office tomorrow (and I’m bringing fruit snacks with me!) so be sure to drop by and say hello sometime in the next couple of weeks. 😊 There are only a few things happening this week, but remember that it is still National Wellness Month, so now is a good time to be thinking of how you are going to be intentional about taking care of yourself this semester. Here’s a great article that talks about the different pillars of health and wellness and gives some tips for sustaining health and wellness as a college student: 8 Ways to Sustain Health and Wellness as a College Student<https://news.chapman.edu/2021/12/08/8-ways-to-sustain-health-and-wellness-as-a-college-student/>
Speaking of fun ways to relax/manage your stress, if you are in town already, you should come check out Raga Garnita (a Balinese Gamelan group based out of Spearfish) on Tuesday, Aug. 16th, from 5:30PM-7:00PM at Canyon Lake Park! My fiancé and I are part of this band (because we are cool like that) and we will be performing at Family Food Truck Night (which is a super fun event that happens during the summers here in Rapid City). 😃 So, if you want to come get some yummy food truck noms and listen to some beautiful and unique music, come hear us play and be sure to say hello!
There are exciting opportunities for you this week and beyond. Learn more about these opportunities below!
