Happy National Pasta Day & National Mulligan Day (so it seems that if you mess up your pasta, you get another chance! 😉) Hope everyone’s week is starting off well and wishing you the best in the days ahead.
As a reminder, if you are looking for a social science elective for the coming Spring 2023 semester, Dr. Kayla Pritchard will be teaching SOC 492 Health and Society, which is a great course for anyone interested in the health professions. (See attachment.)

* Volunteer Opportunities:

* Scholarship/Fellowship Opportunities:
* Applications are now open for the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals, which is a full year fellowship including 2 months of intensive German language and 1 semester at a German university (plus 3-5 month internship in your field). * Critical Language Scholarship applications are now open. Learn more and apply before November 15th by going here<https://clscholarship.org/>.
* The Barry Goldwater Scholarship application is now open for students pursuing a B.S. in science, math, or engineering who are within their first two years of study. (See attached flyer.) For more information about this scholarship, please reach out to Career Services. Deadline for nominations is the first week in January.
* Boren Scholarships (for undergraduates-deadline February 1st, 2023) and Boren Fellowships (for graduate students-deadline January 25th, 2023) are now open. Recipients must work for the federal government for one year after graduation. Learn more by going here<https://www.borenawards.org/>.
* Applications are now open for applying to the Completing the Dream Scholarship Program (see attachment). This program is for students in good academic standing who are facing challenges with returning/graduating due to an outstanding financial need and/or an emergency situation. The application window is open until all scholarship funds are awarded or until May 31st, 2023.
