Greetings, All!

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving break and that you are all taking care of yourselves while preparing final projects and gearing up for final exams in the coming weeks! I got married (yay!), but had to postpone our big honeymoon trip because of COVID (boo). The good news is that my new husband and I are on the mend and I’ll be back in the office tomorrow (all masked up). I’ll be bringing in leftover candy from my wedding reception for those who need a little chocolate to get them through this week!

Speaking of this week, we’ve reached the end of November and will be headed into the final month of 2022 and the final few weeks of the semester. Here’s a couple of articles with some tips for taking care of yourself at this busy time of the year: 10 Self-Care Tips for the End of the Semester<https://ideasonfire.net/10-self-care-practices-for-the-end-of-the-semester/> and 17 Self-Care Activities for College Students<https://www.collegegirlsmarts.com/self-care-activities-college-students/>

Also, big congrats to one of our newest NANO-BME faculty members, Dr. Shan Zhou, for his recent publication in Nature<https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-022-05384-8> and for this cool press release<https://www.sdsmt.edu/News/Nano-Pinwheels/#.Y4aFZnbMKUk> about his research. You can learn more about Dr. Zhou’s research group here on campus by checking out this website<https://www.nanoshan.com/>.

There are exciting opportunities for you and fun things happening this week and beyond. Check them out below!
