Greetings, All!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that you are ready to tackle finals this week. There are snacks and stress-relief activities (origami & adult coloring pages) in the NANO-BME main office and we wish you the best of luck on all of your exams!
Big congratulations to all of you who are graduating on Saturday! We are proud of all that you’ve accomplished and hope that you will keep in touch with us as you move into jobs and graduate programs. We are excited to see you at graduation and wish you the best in the next chapter of your story! 😊
If you are sticking around for the summer, there are several volunteer opportunities where we could use your help! The first will be next week (Wednesday, May 8th) at the BHSU Women in Science (WiS) Conference. Sign up here!<http://volunteersignup.org/P8QYC> This event is a great way to engage 7th grade girls in STEM. You will also be served free coffee, snacks, and lunch for your efforts. (And you can pick up a good chunk of volunteer hours for those of you looking to boost those!)
If you are heading out of Rapid City after finals, we hope you have a wonderful summer and please reach out to us if you are willing to share what all you are doing for the summer (e.g. internships, clinical experiences, volunteer work, etc.) on our social media outlets for the department. (E-mail photos and blurbs to Miranda: Miranda.Larson at sdsmt.edu<mailto:Miranda.Larson at sdsmt.edu>)
And finally, this will be the last NANO-BME Weekly Update from me (Dr. J). Thank you for being such great students and I hope you all have a wonderful summer and beyond!
