For those of you needing clinical experiences, here's an opportunity to get your CNA paid for along with a stipend for books, supplies, vaccinations, etc.

Good Afternoon,

The WRAHEC in collaboration with Monument Health has opened up applications for a brand new Community CNA Program.  The first 103 students to apply to the program will receive 100% of their tuition paid in addition to receiving a $1000 stipend (to pay for books, scrubs (light gray), background check, required vaccinations, blood pressure cuff, certification test, daycare, travel costs, etc.)

A great big "Thank You" to the Monument Health Nursing Professional Development Department for pulling all of this together to offer in the Black Hills!

Attached is an ad we are running in the Elevate magazine each month through the end of the year.  Note the QR Code is how to access the online application.

Here's a summary of the process/details:

  *   Must be at least 18 years old
  *   Cannot be enrolled in High School
  *   Must complete the following before Formal Acceptance to the program:

     *   Program FERPA form to allow Monument and WRAHEC access to your program status
     *   Complete background check
     *   Complete Drug Screening
     *   Immunization Tracking (required vaccinations:  Hep B Series and Titer, Influenza, MMR, TDap, TB Test, COVID, Meningococcal)
     *   Completion of Monument Health Student Processes Online Modules

  *   When all are complete the student receives official acceptance into the program and will be enrolled in the next available class
  *   In-person Orientation held at Monument Health (8am-3pm) distributing/reviewing workbooks and some skills knowledge
  *   16 hour Clinical Experience (either in Rapid City or Sturgis)
  *   50 hours of self-paced online coursework
  *   Bi-weekly check-ins with your Program Mentor
  *   In-person final review for skills and coursework to prepare for testing
  *   State Certification testing
  *   Everyone learns at their own pace based on past experiences-so the program aims to be 5-8 weeks to complete
  *   Cohorts of 8 students begin monthly as follows:  02/22/23, 03/22/23, 04/19/23, 05/17/23, 06/21/23, 07/19/23, 08/23/23, 09/20/23, 10/18/23, 11/22/23, 12/27/23
  *   This is a Community CNA class-so participants are not required to work at or be hired by Monument Health for selection into the program
  *   A great way to launch into a healthcare career!
