Greetings, All!
I hope you had a lovely week/weekend while I was in Wisconsin at a conference for pre-health advisors. (I had a blast, learned a lot, and met/reconnected with some really awesome people! 😃) If you e-mailed me any time over the past week, know that I am chin deep in messages and working through them today, so I will respond to you as soon as I can!
Also, there’s still time for you to sign up to help out with an outreach activity at Stevens HS tomorrow if you would like to volunteer! Please let me know by this afternoon if you are interested. 😊
Also, also, this week is Blood Advocacy Week and the folks over at Health Professions Week have partnered with blood advocacy groups to bring you several interesting webinars and other content through their website. Learn more by going here<https://americasblood.org/advocacy/bloodadvocacyweek/#About> and check out a few of the highlighted events in the daily events schedule at the bottom of this e-mail.
As a reminder, April is Alcohol Awareness<https://alcohol.org/awareness-month/>, and Stress Awareness<https://hr.nih.gov/working-nih/civil/national-stress-awareness-month> month, so here’s an article from the Mayo Clinic about healthy ways to manage stress<https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/stress-management/in-depth/stress-relievers/art-20047257>.
And don’t forget that the Gathering of Nations<https://www.gatheringofnations.com/> is happening April 27th-29th.
There are new and exciting opportunities for you and fun things happening this week and beyond. Check them out below!
