Greetings, All!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your summer classes/internship/research/relaxing break is going well. 😊 I will be hoping on a plane tomorrow morning to head to Denver for the 2022 National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP) National Conference! I’ll be out of the office for the rest of the week while attending this conference. On Saturday, the conference will feature an event for students interested in health careers. The event will feature representatives from dozens of professional programs (e.g. medical schools, dental schools, PT programs, PA programs, pharmacy programs, etc.) as well as services, such as MCAT prep companies, volunteer organizations, etc. Also, lots and lots of swag. 😝 If you are in or near the Denver area, I highly encourage you to attend! (Details in weekly information below.)

The campus will be closed next Monday, June 20th, in observation of Juneteenth (which is the day before). I have known about this holiday for many years (my brother was born on June 19th, so I had heard mentions of Juneteenth growing up) and was excited when it finally became a US federal holiday last year. If you want to learn more about what this holiday is and why it is important, check out this article published last year by National Geographic<https://www.nationalgeographic.com/culture/article/juneteenth>.

There are only a few things happening this week, but lots coming up in the next few weeks and beyond. Check it out below!
