Good Morning, All!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and that you were able to get out and enjoy yesterday’s nice weather! 😃 This week is shaping up to be warmer, so make some time for a pleasant walk between classes and activities over the next few days before the snow comes back on Saturday.

* Volunteer Opportunities:
* BME graduate student, Brock Folkers, is looking for participants to take part in a research study exploring how muscle tissue changes its electrical signal as it transitions from rested to fatigue states. * MEDLIFE is a non-profit organization providing service learning experiences in Peru, Ecuador, and Tanzania. They make trips over winter break, spring break, and during the summer to accommodate student schedules. See attached flyer or go here<https://my.medlifemovement.org/> for more details.

* West River Area Health Education Center (WRAHEC) Scholars Program applications are now open. This is a great program for anyone interested in learning more about rural healthcare and/or anyone planning to practice in rural/medically underserved areas. * Abstracts for the 12th Annual South Dakota Mines Student Research Symposium are due today. The symposium will take place on Tuesday, April 5th in the Surbeck Center and is open to both undergraduates and graduate students. You may submit an abstract for doing an oral presentation or a poster presentation (but not both). Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in all categories.
