Greetings, All!

I was out of town on Friday/Saturday, but I am glad to hear that all of you are safe after the evacuation. I hope you were all able to enjoy Halloween festivities yesterday and decompress from the stress of the preceding days. I also want to say Feliz dia de los Muertos to our students who celebrate this holiday! Be sure to stop by the ofrenda in lower Surbeck this week and “light” a candle, leave a small gift, or just take a moment to fondly remember someone you’ve lost. Friday, November 5th:

  *   7:30AM-8:30AM MST – Monument Health Virtual Grand Rounds: This week’s presentation topic and meeting link will be sent in an e-mail later this week.
  *   10:00AM MST – CBHS is hosting Dr. Heidi Moline, MD, MPH from the CDC National Center for Immunization & Respiratory Diseases, Division of Bacterial Diseases to talk about her experiences as a pediatrician and CDC employee. Her presentation will be in CB 327.

  *   SD-FIRST will be sponsoring a talk by Francisco Javier Arceo, Tech Lead Manager for Data and Machine Learning at Fast (and first-generation college graduate), on November 8th at 4:00PM MST in CB 204.
  *   Saint George’s School of Medicine will be hosting a virtual information session about their program through the Career & Professional Development Center via Zoom on November 17th at 6:00PM MST.
