The Craig Tieszen Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor the memory of the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology alumnus. Tieszen was a dedicated public servant. As a law enforcement officer and then lawmaker, he promoted the philosophy of creating opportunities for children and adults to learn to be positive contributors to society.

Gothic Approaches to Eco-burial

Recent conversations about burial practices have included the concept of eco-burial. But this is not a new concept. You and your sweetheart are invited to a night of dining and dancing at the SD Mines Music Center. SD Mines summer camps are designed to be fun and hands-on, and are for middle and high school students. Most camps last five days and students come here from all over the country to attend. Some camps are free of charge.

Cultural Expo
March 28 & 30
SD Mines international students and a variety of community groups will celebrate their cultural diversity with food, entertainment, and displays during the annual SD Mines Cultural Expo in the Surbeck Center. The event is open to K-12 schools from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on March 28, and open to the general public from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on March 30.
