SD Mines Researchers Play Integral Part in Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) at Sanford Lab

Researchers from SD Mines are participating in a study of neutrinos, collaborating with scientists from around the world to better understand how the universe works and why matter exists at all. The Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) is home to the one part of the international collaboration known as the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) which is being built and operated by a group of roughly 1,000 scientists and engineers from 30 countries.
