Hello Scholar Athletes!

I hope you all are doing well. I wanted to inform you all of a new
position available within the student senate: the Student-Athlete Senator.
This senator will be a student athlete and will serve during the semester
they are not in their championship season. This position will allow you to
represent and advocate for the needs of student athletes, improve your
leadership skills, and boost your resume! Responsibilities of the
Student-Athlete Senator position include the following:

   - Attend weekly student senate meetings (Wednesdays at 5 pm)
   - Participate in monthly SAAC meetings
   - Help with various tasks within the athletic department, including
   administering a mental wellness survey once a semester and helping set up
   the yearly mental wellness game

This position is available to all student athletes. However, one athlete
per semester will be nominated by SAAC instead of needing the 20 required
signatures as per the petition process. If you are interested in
representing this position for the fall or spring semester or have
questions, please reach to either myself or SAAC to be considered. *The
deadline for the SAAC nomination is Monday, March 30, at 5 p.m.* The
deadline for all nominations is *Wednesday, April 1, at 5 p.m. *Thank you
