[Hardrockerstudentathletes] Important message from Athletics: SCAM Alert

Hardrocker student-athletes, coaches & staff:

I was notified this evening that scammers are attempting to target parents of student-athletes at college campuses.  These individuals are calling parents claiming they that are campus safety or some other campus official. They then tell the parent that their son/daughter has been detained and would be released if they pay a fine. Payment is requested through a 3rd party payment app.

This serves as a reminder to you and your families to be vigilant with emails and phone calls demanding immediate payment.  South Dakota Mines would NEVER contact your families and request immediate payment via email, phone or third party app.  Please pass this information onto your families.
